Welcome to White Earth Catholic Community Churches We are the people of God and follow the Roman Catholic Faith. We gather to give God praise, glory and honor. We serve God and one another in six Catholic parishes on the White Earth Reservation in Northern Minnesota. Honoring the foundations laid down by our ancestors, we rejoice in our faith in Jesus Christ that has been passed down to us through the Church that He founded upon the apostles. These parishes, established in the late 1800's and early 1900's by the priests and sisters of St. Benedict, are served today by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The Oblate's minister in these parishes of the Crookston Diocese under the shepherding care of Bishop Andrew Cozzens. Obedient to his Father's will, Jesus, our Lord and Savior, leads us. He is our WAY, TRUTH, and LIFE (John 14:6). Called "the good red road" by some, "the path of righteousness" by others, we journey from here to heaven seeking greater unity among ourselves, and building solidarity with all who seek to do the Creator's will. In friendship with our neighbors, we welcome the guidance of the Holy Spirit and treasure the Wisdom of our Ancestors. We hold in special love the Virgin Mary, our parish patron saints and St. Kateri Tekakwitha, patroness of these Missions. We hope that the faith we have received will inspire our children, helping them to realize God's glory revealed in them and in the world which we live. We want ours to be a community in which elders are respected, families are supported, life celebrated, and youth challenged by solid faith values and respect of life. May our sacred time together be a blessing to all who follow us, a service to all who travel with us and a source of joy to all who await us in God's heavenly kingdom. May we continue to discover and to share God's blessing now and forever.
